A short cold plunge can be a simple personal challenge, but the safest approach is controlled, gradual and entirely optional. There is no need to chase extreme temperatures or make broad promises about the outcome.
Keep it practical
Use clean water, a stable entry point and a warm, dry place to change afterwards. Start briefly, stop if you feel unwell and do not plunge alone if you are new to cold water.
For a purpose-built option, see the BodyBud ice-bath range.
Set realistic expectations
Cold plunges are not a treatment for pain, inflammation, immune conditions, metabolism or mental-health conditions. This article is general information, not medical advice.
