The bodybud™ Sauna Panel MEGA is designed to add red, near-infrared, blue and amber light to an existing sauna routine. It is ideal for home wellness spaces, gyms, spas and recovery rooms wanting a more immersive heat-and-light ritual.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM A NORMAL RED LIGHT PANEL?

The MEGA is purpose-built for sauna environments rather than being a standard panel placed in a hot room. It has an IP65-rated aluminium-alloy body, heat-resistant components and automatic temperature-protection shut-off.

CAN I USE IT INSIDE A TRADITIONAL OR INFRARED SAUNA?

Yes. In an infrared sauna, it may be fixed horizontally using all four integrated ceiling attachment points beneath a verified load-bearing structure. In a traditional sauna, mount it lower on the wall rather than near the ceiling, where the air is much hotter.

HOW HOT CAN THE PANEL OPERATE?

The maximum operating ambient temperature is 60°C. It has separate protection designed to switch the panel off if its temperature exceeds 90°C, but this is a safety feature—not its intended operating temperature. Do not install it high in a traditional sauna or rely on the automatic shut-off for normal use.

HOW LONG SHOULD I USE THE PANEL FOR?

The built-in timer offers 10, 15 and 20-minute sessions. Start with 10 minutes if you are new to sauna light exposure, then build up gradually according to comfort and heat tolerance.

HOW CLOSE SHOULD I SIT OR STAND TO THE PANEL?

Where your sauna layout allows, position the treatment area approximately 15cm / 6 inches from the panel. Ensure the panel is installed securely with adequate clearance and cannot be touched accidentally during use.

CAN I CONTROL THE DIFFERENT LIGHT SETTINGS?

Yes. The MEGA has four-channel dimming, allowing separate adjustment of red, near-infrared, blue and amber light channels from 0–100% brightness. You can control it through the touchscreen, supplied remote or compatible app functions.

DO I NEED EYE PROTECTION?

Do not stare directly into the LEDs. Keep your eyes closed or look away from direct light exposure during a session. Protective eyewear or sunglasses can be used for additional comfort, particularly if you are light-sensitive.

IS THE PANEL WATERPROOF?

It is IP65 rated, meaning it is dustproof and protected against water jets—suitable for sauna humidity and normal sauna conditions. It must not be immersed in water, heavily washed or used if its cable, plug or casing is damaged.

IS IT A MEDICAL DEVICE, AND WHAT IS THE WARRANTY?

No. The bodybud™ Sauna Panel MEGA is a general-wellness product for sauna ambience and personal light-exposure routines; it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. It includes a 2-year warranty against manufacturing faults under normal use and correct installation.
